Your participation helps dogs like KLAUS!

Klaus spent most of his early life outside, tied up on a short chain. When he arrived at our shelter, he was severely underweight, and his collar was embedded deeply into his neck.

Upon being seized by an RSPCA Inspector, Klaus was quickly taken to the vet. He was given sedation so that he could have the urgent treatment he required. Bolt cutters were needed to cut the chain that was embedded into the neck, and his neck had an infected ulcerated wound. He was also emaciated, flea-ridden, and needed worming treatment.

Unfortunately, Klaus isn’t the first dog who has had to have an embedded chain carefully removed from their neck, and sadly, he won’t be the last.

While Klaus’s story might have had a sad beginning, he did get his happy ending and has since found his furever family. They are helping him put the painful memories of his past away, replacing all the bad ones with the good ones.
